Enumeration Forms Distributed to All Voters
GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan, IAS, informed that the distribution of Enumeration Forms has reached 100% across Hyderabad district. Of the forms received so far, over 25% have already been digitized, while the verification process is continuing.
The Commissioner appealed to all eligible voters to submit their filled Enumeration Forms without waiting until the last date. He said the exercise aims to ensure that the electoral rolls remain accurate and updated before the final publication.
Extensive Awareness Campaign
To ensure maximum public participation, GHMC has launched a large-scale awareness campaign through:
- Door-to-door visits by Booth Level Officers (BLOs)
- Public announcements using autorickshaws
- Advertisements in newspapers, television and social media
- Banners, posters and hoardings across the city
- Meetings with political parties and Booth Level Agents (BLAs)
- Resident Welfare Association interactions
- SMS alerts to GHMC property taxpayers
Election officials advised that any voter who has not received an Enumeration Form should immediately contact the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO), the BLO Supervisor, or call the Election Commission’s toll-free helpline 1950 to obtain and submit the form before the deadline.
The SIR exercise is intended to identify duplicate, shifted, absentee and deceased voters so that the electoral rolls accurately reflect the eligible voting population ahead of future elections.
