Former Telangana minister and BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao strongly criticized the state government’s demolition drives and the HYDRA agency during a party meeting held in Rajendranagar. He alleged that poor residents were being unfairly targeted while influential individuals were being spared.
Addressing party workers and local residents, KTR described HYDRA as an agency that had created fear among ordinary people. He claimed that thousands of houses in Hyderabad had been demolished under various enforcement drives. According to him, the government was attempting to displace residents in the name of development projects.
KTR also criticized the proposed developments along the Musi River and alleged that the government was planning actions that would adversely affect local communities. The BRS leader said that people living in affected colonies were facing uncertainty due to demolition notices and enforcement actions.
During his speech, KTR accused the government of selectively targeting poor families while ignoring alleged violations involving influential individuals. He questioned why certain prominent properties were allegedly not being subjected to similar action.
The former minister claimed that ordinary residents in localities such as Hanuman Nagar were facing pressure and uncertainty because of demolition drives. KTR assured residents that the BRS leadership would support people facing legal or administrative difficulties. He said the party would stand with affected families and provide legal assistance whenever necessary.
He also expressed confidence that the BRS would return to power in future elections. According to him, a future BRS government would address the concerns of residents and provide necessary documentation and support to eligible beneficiaries. KTR appealed to party workers and local residents to remain united and not lose confidence during the current political situation.
