Traffic Police in Hyderabad have introduced a one-way traffic trial around KBR Park as major infrastructure works continue under the H-CITI project. The temporary arrangement aims to facilitate ongoing construction activities while minimizing congestion in one of the city’s busiest corridors.

The trial run began at 10 a.m. and is scheduled to continue until 8 p.m., according to Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar. Who have visited and inspected the trial run with other traffic police officials on Sunday morning.

Several flyover and underpass projects are currently under construction around the KBR Park area. Police Officials stated that the works involve multiple infrastructure projects intended to improve long-term traffic movement in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills.

Under the new traffic arrangement, vehicles traveling around KBR Park are being routed through designated one-way corridors. Authorities have introduced several diversions to manage vehicle movement efficiently during construction activities.

Traffic coming from the LV Prasad area is being diverted through Basavatarakam Hospital, Omega Hospital, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Junction and Journalist Colony before reaching Jubilee Hills Check Post.

City Police has restricted several right turns around KBR Park, allowing only left turns at designated junctions. The move is intended to reduce traffic conflicts and improve traffic flow. Vehicles arriving from Punjagutta and nearby junctions are being redirected through alternate routes connecting Film Nagar, Road No. 45 and Jubilee Hills Check Post.

Traffic police personnel and law-and-order police have been deployed across major junctions to assist motorists and ensure smooth implementation of the diversions. Barricades and direction boards have been installed at several locations to help commuters navigate the revised traffic routes. Authorities began preparations early in the morning to ensure that motorists receive adequate guidance.

Officials said Sunday was chosen for the trial because traffic volumes are comparatively lower, allowing authorities to study vehicle movement patterns and assess the effectiveness of the one-way system.

City Police has advised commuters traveling through Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills and KBR Park surroundings to follow diversion signs and cooperate with traffic personnel. If the trial proves successful, similar traffic arrangements may be implemented during subsequent phases of the infrastructure works.
