US President Donald Trump has invited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join a proposed international body called the “Board of Peace,” aimed at promoting lasting peace in Gaza and the wider Middle East. The invitation was conveyed through a formal letter shared publicly by the US Ambassador to India.
The letter from President Trump described the proposed Board of Peace as a bold and innovative approach to resolving long-standing global conflicts, particularly in the Middle East. According to the communication, the initiative is envisioned as an international platform that would bring together influential global leaders to support stability and peace-building efforts.
The invitation to Prime Minister Modi was made public after the letter was shared on social media by US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor. The move has drawn attention due to India’s increasing involvement in international diplomacy and conflict resolution efforts.
President Trump introduced the Board of Peace as part of the second phase of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and the militant group Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The letter stated that both sides had agreed to Trump’s peace plan in October, marking what Washington views as a significant step toward de-escalation in the region.
In addition, Trump referenced his earlier announcement on September 29, which outlined a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict.
