Hyderabad, December 19. The National Testing Agency released the subject-wise timetable for the UGC National Eligibility Test December 2025, conducted by the University Grants Commission twice every year.
According to the revised schedule issued by NTA, the UGC NET December 2025 online examinations are scheduled from December 31 to January 7. The test will cover 85 subjects nationwide.
The examination will take place in two daily sessions.
The first session is scheduled from 9 am to 12 noon.
The second session is scheduled from 3 pm to 6 pm.
NTA said it will release city intimation slips ten days before the examination date. The agency will publish admit cards on the official website four days before each exam.
Candidates must log in using their registered credentials to download the admit card. NTA advised candidates to monitor the official website regularly for updates on exam centres and session timings.
Qualifying the UGC NET allows candidates to apply for the Junior Research Fellowship. It also provides eligibility for Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges. The examination also serves as a qualifying requirement for PhD admissions.
NTA asked candidates to follow official instructions and comply with examination guidelines during the test period.
