Telangana Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha inspected the State Control Room established for monitoring the NEET-UG 2026 examination in Hyderabad. The facility has been set up at the office of the Intermediate Education Department and is connected to examination centres across the state through CCTV surveillance.
The inspection was conducted in the presence of State Medical and Health Secretary Dr. Christina Z. Chongthu and senior officials involved in the examination process. The State Control Room has been established jointly by the Telangana government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) to ensure smooth conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 examination.
Officials informed the minister that the command and control facility enables continuous monitoring of examination centres through CCTV surveillance systems. The arrangement has been designed to ensure transparency, security and fairness during the examination process.
During the visit, the minister reviewed the preparations made for the examination and held discussions with officials, including Director of Medical Education Dr. Narendra Kumar, Central Education Department Director Ravinder and DIG Naik.
The minister directed officials to ensure that the examination is conducted in a fair, transparent and secure manner. He also expressed satisfaction over the precautionary measures and arrangements made by the authorities.
According to the minister, a total of 73,058 students appeared for the NEET-UG 2026 examination in Telangana. The examination was conducted across 208 examination centres located in 24 districts of the state. Officials stated that the State Control Room is continuously monitoring the examination centres through live CCTV surveillance. The system allows authorities to observe activities at various locations and respond quickly to any issues that may arise.
The Telangana government has emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of the examination process while ensuring that students face no inconvenience during the examination. Authorities said special attention has been given to security arrangements, coordination among departments and real-time monitoring mechanisms.
Officials stated that continuous monitoring would continue throughout the examination process to ensure smooth conduct and immediate response to any operational issues.
