Rachakonda Police carried out a special late-night patrolling and crackdown drive in the limits of Balapur Police Station to maintain law and order.

Inspector M. Sudhakar led the operation. Sub-Inspectors Sudhakar, Prasad, Sohail, Naveen, DSI Koteshwar Rao, and around 40 police personnel joined the drive. Teams covered multiple localities under Balapur police limits.

Police checked hotels, shops, and other establishments operating beyond permitted hours. Officers issued clear instructions to shut down on time and follow rules.

Inspector M. Sudhakar said police launched the drive after recent law and order incidents. Two murder cases were reported in recent days. One case fell under Balapur police limits. The second occurred under Pahadishareef Police Station limits.

As a safety measure, police urged residents to step out late at night only during emergencies. The Inspector said patrol strength has increased to prevent crime and ensure public safety.

Police also intensified bike patrolling across the Balapur area during weekends. Teams remain alert to spot suspicious movement and respond without delay.

Police asked residents to cooperate and report suspicious activity to the nearest police station.

Local Residents also complained that during the night, some youths consume intoxicants in the area and roam around openly. There is rampant use of alcohol and ganja in the locality. As a result, crimes are on the rise, they said.
