The nikah ceremony of the daughter of Asaduddin Owaisi, President of the All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad, was solemnised on Monday in the presence of senior political leaders, religious scholars, family members, and distinguished guests.
The bride was married to Nawab Mohammed Sahil Rasool Khan, son of Dr Mohammed Shah Alam Rasool Khan, Chairman of the Shadan Educational Society. The groom is a Director of the Shadan Group of Educational Institutions. The nikah took place at Owaisi’s residence, Al-Siddiq, located at Shastripuram in Hyderabad.
The ceremony witnessed the participation of several prominent leaders cutting across political and social spheres. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attended the event along with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka. State Minister for Finance and Information P. Srinivas Reddy and several other ministers were also present.
Religious scholars and clerics from different schools of thought graced the occasion.Among the notable attendees were senior AIMIM leaders from Telangana and other states, including former MP and Maharashtra AIMIM president Imtiaz Jaleel, AIMIM national spokesperson Waris Pathan, UP AIMIM president Shaukat Ali, Gujarat AIMIM president Saber Kabliwala, and several AIMIM legislators and office bearers from Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Telangana.
Prominent religious personalities present included Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Mufti Khalil Ahmed of Jamia Nizamia, and other scholars and mashayikh.
Family members played an active role in receiving the guests. The bride’s uncle Akbaruddin Owaisi, AIMIM Floor Leader in the Telangana Assembly, along with Burhanuddin Owaisi, Editor-in-Chief of Roznama Etemaad, Dr Nooruddin Owaisi, and Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi, welcomed those in attendance. Several members of the Owaisi family were also present.
The ceremony reflected a blend of simplicity and dignity, with prayers and good wishes offered for the newlywed couple by the guests.
