Amid concerns among many Telangana in general and Hyderabad residents in particular over whether Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will reach them with Enumeration Forms during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign, the Election Commission of India has introduced an online submission facility to make the process easier.

The initiative is expected to benefit people who are away from their homes due to work, education, or overseas residence, allowing them to complete the Enumeration Form digitally without waiting for a personal visit by election officials.

According to District Election Officer and GHMC Commssioner RV Karnan, the online system allows eligible voters to complete and submit their details from home without physically visiting local offices. The Special Intensive Revision campaign begun from Thursday on June 25, 2026. The final electoral rolls are expected to be published on October 1, 2026.

Officials said the initiative is particularly beneficial for people residing in other cities, states, or countries. Such voters can submit their details through the official Election Commission portal. The online process requires users to log in using their registered mobile number or EPIC number. After verification through a One-Time Password (OTP), voters can access the Enumeration Form and fill in the required details.

Once the information is completed, users receive another OTP during the electronic signature process. After successful verification, the form is submitted electronically. Election authorities stated that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will continue door-to-door visits to distribute forms and assist voters during the revision process. However, the online option provides additional convenience for those unable to meet officials personally.

Officials also clarified that if a voter is temporarily away from home, an adult family member may submit the form on their behalf and hand it over to the Booth Level Officer. The Election Commission emphasized that the purpose of the revision exercise is to ensure that no eligible voter is excluded from the electoral rolls while preventing the inclusion of ineligible names.

Authorities have appealed to all voters to complete and submit their Enumeration Forms within the prescribed period. They urged citizens to make full use of the digital facility to ensure that their names remain on the voter list. The official voter services portal can be accessed through the Election Commission website for online submission of forms.
