GHMC Wards Increased to 300, Gazette Issued, Public Feedback Invited for Delimitation

Hyderabad, December 9: Posted on 11:08 AM The number of municipal wards under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has increased to 300. The Municipal Administration Department issued a fresh gazette notification on delimitation. Citizens must submit written suggestions and objections in the office of the GHMC Commissioner within 7 days. The new delimitation uses G.I.S. mapping. The gazette includes territorial boundaries and the official list of all 300 wards. Residents are advised to review the list, verify their local boundaries and give written feedback if required. The proposal was brought before the members as a table item. AIMIM opposed the sudden move and demanded a separate meeting on the issue. GHMC Standing Committee Approves Key Urban Development Projects

Sought Proposals for Multi-Level Parking Near Chowmahalla Hyderabad, November 20: The GHMC Standing Committee met today under the chairmanship of Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi at the corporation head office Tank Band. The committee approved 18 agenda items and 6 table items. Commissioner R V Karnan, committee members and senior engineering and zonal officials attended the meeting. The committee cleared a proposal to invite requests for proposals for a multi-level parking complex at Khilwath near Chowmahalla Palace in old city.
