Hyderabad is set to host one of India’s largest interior design and architecture exhibitions as the Indian Institute of Interior Designers – Hyderabad Regional Chapter (IIID-HRC) prepares to organize the sixth edition of IIID Showcase Insider X 2026. The event will be held from June 19 to June 21, 2026, at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is scheduled to inaugurate the exhibition.

The three-day showcase is expected to attract architects, interior designers, builders, consultants, trade partners, educators, and students from across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, other Indian states, and overseas. Organizers estimate that more than 6,000 business visitors will attend the event.

Spread across approximately 80,000 square feet, the exhibition will feature more than 150 exhibitors and over 300 brands. Participants will showcase the latest products, materials, technologies, and solutions related to residential and commercial interiors.

One of the major attractions of the event will be “Design Street,” a specially curated runway-style exhibition corridor designed to highlight innovation and creativity in the design sector. Visitors will also have access to knowledge sessions, international keynote presentations, and expert-led discussions on emerging trends and technologies.

The exhibition will also include “Sthapatya Utsav,” a dedicated platform for students featuring workshops, competitions, and interactive learning opportunities. Organizers believe the initiative will help encourage the next generation of architects and designers while strengthening industry-academia collaboration.

Speaking about the event, IIID-HRC representatives emphasized the growing importance of design in shaping modern societies and economies. They noted that Hyderabad has evolved into a major center for creativity, entrepreneurship, technology, and design innovation.

Industry leaders also highlighted the increasing role of Artificial Intelligence in architecture and interior design. According to organizers, AI-powered tools are helping professionals improve efficiency, accelerate design workflows, enhance sustainability, and present multiple design options to clients in real time.

The organizers used the occasion to urge both state and central governments to strengthen architectural education, increase the number of institutions offering architecture courses, and establish a dedicated Design Excellence Centre in Telangana. They also called for the appointment of architects in government departments where design decisions significantly influence public infrastructure and safety.

Since its launch in 2014, IIID Showcase Insider X has grown into one of India’s most significant design platforms. The 2026 edition aims to continue that journey by bringing together innovation, technology, creativity, and collaboration under one roof.
