Zero Tolerance on Illegal Encroachments, Minority Welfare Minister Issues Stern Warning in Hyderabad

Minority Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin on Friday issued a strong warning against illegal encroachments on Waqf properties and minority religious lands. He said the government will not tolerate any illegal occupation under any circumstances.

The Minister visited Guttala Begumpet and Kavuri Hills following complaints from the Alangir Masjid committee over encroachments on Masjid-e-Alangir land. He conducted a joint inspection along with officials from the Revenue Department, GHMC, Hyderabad Police, HYDRA, and the Telangana Waqf Board.

Speaking at the site, the Minister said Waqf assets belong to the community and the law will protect them fully. He directed officials to take strict legal action against those involved in illegal occupation. He also ordered action against officials who support or ignore such activities.

The Minister said the government will secure the entire 90 acres of Masjid land. He instructed officials to ensure constant monitoring so no further violations take place. He warned departmental staff of personal accountability in case of negligence.

“There is no space for illegal encroachments. File cases and take firm action against all violators. Officers must act with full responsibility in protecting Waqf properties,” the Minister said.

Meanwhile He loses his cool on SHO and said police department is not cooperating with the Wakf Board Officials to remove the encrochers, also questioned why police officials did not take action against those land grabbers.

Senior officials and leaders present during the inspection included Minority Welfare Commissioner Shafiullah IFS, AIMIM MLA Kausar Mohiuddin, Telangana government adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir, TGMREIS chairman Faheem Qureshi, Telangana Waqf Board chairman Syed Azmatullah Hussaini, Madhapur Additional DCP Dayanand Reddy, the Waqf Board CEO, and other senior officers.

Officials from concerned departments assured the Minister of immediate protection measures and initiation of legal proceedings against illegal encroachments.

Later Minority Welfare Minister Azheruddin along with Christian Minority leaders met CM Revanth Reddy and invited to attend the Christmas celebrations and dinner which is being organized at LB Stadium on 20 December Saturday.
