The Department of Islamic Studies at Osmania University has formally conferred a PhD degree on research scholar Mohammad Younus Parvez in recognition of his outstanding scholarly contributions. He successfully completed his doctoral dissertation, titled “Sufism in Hyderabad — A Comparative Study of the Dargahs of Hazrat Yousufain and Hazrat Miran Hussaini Baghdadi,” under the supervision of Dr. Ashfaq Chand, protem of the Department.
Mohammad Younus Parvez is a diligent scholar with profound academic, literary, and journalistic inclinations. He played a prominent role in the active student movements of Osmania University, participating enthusiastically in the Telangana Movement and rendering significant services as the Convener of the Osmania University Joint Action Committee (OUJAC). Additionally, he has fulfilled the responsibilities of President of the Minorities Students Organisation (MSO) with great competence.
