Hyderabad Police Seize 1,600 Vehicles in Citywide Night Operation

Hyderabad police seized 1,600 vehicles during a late-night inspection drive under Operation Kavach. Police checked around 15,000 vehicles across 150 locations from 10:30 PM to 1:00 AM. The drive involved 5,000 personnel focusing on strict enforcement of law and order and public safety.

Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar supervised the inspections on the ground in Tolichowki and Gulzar Houz. He later monitored the entire operation from the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre in Banjara Hills.

According to the press release Eight suspects were taken into custody. Teams also recovered half a kilogram of ganja within Tukaram Gate limits. Police registered 105 petty cases during the inspections.

Multiple wings including Law and Order, Task Force, Traffic, and Armed Reserve worked together. Every vehicle at checkpoints faced inspection, and those without proper documents were seized.

Commissioner Sajjanar stated that strict late-night enforcement will continue. Anyone involved in unlawful activity or driving without valid documents will face legal action. He praised the late-night work of 5,000 police personnel who helped strengthen public safety.
