The All India Muslim Women Association (AIMWA) successfully organized a two-day national-level Tarbiyati Camp titled Rising Sisters Meet 2025 on December 30 and 31 in Hyderabad, with the aim of strengthening unity, protection, and progress among Muslim women across India.

Held under the theme “Unity, Protection and Progress,” the programme brought together more than 250 delegates from various states, including mothers, daughters, teachers, educationists, and professionals such as doctors. Senior Islamic scholars and community leaders also participated, offering spiritual and intellectual guidance.

The concluding public session was held on December 31 at VETS Garden, Shantinagar, and witnessed the participation of over a thousand women. The session was addressed by prominent national figures including Maulana Ubaidullah Khan Azmi, former Member of Parliament and Vice President of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Dr Anees Ahmed, former Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra, and Dr Mohammed Afzal, Professor at Banaras Hindu University.

Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Ubaidullah Khan Azmi emphasized that unity is the backbone of the community and urged both women and men to rise above divisions. He highlighted the importance of education, upbringing of children, poverty alleviation, and collective growth for community upliftment.

Professor Mohammed Afzal underlined that women constitute half of society and stressed that meaningful progress is impossible without their active participation in education, social reform, and leadership. Mohammed Shafi, Vice President of SDPI, described women as change-makers capable of transforming families and institutions through value-based action.

Dr Asma President of AIMWA delivered the Presidential Address and set the ideological and organizational tone of the Rising Sisters Meet 2025. She stated that the Ummah today is facing multiple challenges—social, moral, educational, and ideological—and emphasized that the only sustainable solution lies in unity firmly rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah, not in personal opinions or sectarian divisions.

The programme featured multiple sessions focusing on faith-based education (Taleem), moral upbringing (Tarbiyah), leadership development, organizational unity, and social responsibility. Separate interactive sessions were conducted for girls under the Bintul Muslim Council, addressing contemporary challenges and spiritual empowerment.

Senior representatives of the AIMWA and Bintul Muslim Council addressed the gathering, including Mrs Mamdooha Majid, Zeenat Mehtab, Afroz Fatima Jaffri, Shadab Qamar, Dr Salamah Imteyaz, Umme Muhammed, Dr Neelam Gazala, Nusrat Parveen, and Huda Rawal. Delegates and Women leaders from across India, including representatives from Delhi, Bihar, Maharashtra, Karnataka, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, addressed the gathering and shared experiences of grassroots work.

The Rising Sisters Meet 2025 concluded with a collective pledge to strengthen unity based on the Qur’an and Sunnah, empower women through education and tarbiyah, and work in an organized manner for the protection and progress of the community.
