Two Found Dead in Auto in Hyderabad’s Old City; Drug Overdose Suspected

Mohammed Nooruddin Hyderabad, 3 December: Two young men were found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a passenger auto near Roman Hotel in Hyderabad’s Chandrayangutta area on Tuesday night. Chandrangutta Police suspect drug overdose as the possible cause. The deceased have been identified as Jhangeer (24) and Irfan (25). Responding to information, police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to Osmania Hospital for postmortem. According to the Hyderabad Police Clues Team, three syringes were recovered from the spot, suggesting the presence of a third person who reportedly fled before police arrived. Officials identified the officer as Bhanu Prakash, who worked in the Crime Wing. He developed a strong addiction to online betting and lost his salary and savings.
