Ahead of New Year celebrations, Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Sudheer Babu has announced strict safety and regulatory measures to ensure an incident-free and peaceful start to the year.
In preparation for New Year celebrations, the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate held a coordination meeting with owners and representatives of pubs, bars, restaurants, farmhouses, wine shops, and event organizers within its jurisdiction. The meeting was chaired by Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda.
Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner stated that the objective is to celebrate an incident-free New Year, with no accidents, no loss of life, and no bloodshed. He emphasized responsible participation by the public, especially as large numbers of youth take part in New Year festivities.
To maintain law and order, comprehensive security arrangements have been made. Traffic Police, Special Operations Teams (SOT), SHE Teams, and patrolling units will be deployed across the Rachakonda limits to prevent crimes and untoward incidents.
The Commissioner clarified that DJ boxes are not permitted at outdoor events and that fireworks are strictly prohibited. Crowd limits must be followed, and obscene dance programmes involving women will not be allowed. Special checks will be conducted to curb drug consumption, and strict action will be taken against gangs involved in the supply of banned substances.”We will not tolerate any Drug usage during the celebrations,” he warned.
Pubs, bars, and wine shops have been instructed to close within prescribed timings. Any establishment found selling alcohol to minors will face stringent legal action. CCTV cameras are mandatory in and around shops, pubs, and restaurants, and adequate parking arrangements must be ensured.
To prevent traffic congestion and accidents, drunk-and-drive checks will be enforced strictly. Vehicle owners allowing minors to drive will also face severe action. Certain flyovers will be temporarily closed during late-night hours to prevent overspeeding and illegal bike racing.
