The Government of the United Arab Emirates and the State of Telangana have agreed to collaborate on the development of Bharat Future City, envisioned as a world-class global city. The understanding emerged during a meeting between UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos.

The UAE Minister met the Chief Minister-led Telangana Rising delegation to discuss potential areas of cooperation in large-scale infrastructure projects in Telangana, with a special focus on the Bharat Future City initiative.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy outlined the Telangana Rising 2047 vision and presented a roadmap to transform the state into a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He highlighted the scope and ambition of Bharat Future City, describing it as India’s first Net-Zero Greenfield Smart City.

Spread across 30,000 acres, Bharat Future City is envisioned as a sustainable, multi-sectoral urban and industrial hub. The project will feature dedicated zones for artificial intelligence, education, healthcare, industries, residential living, and entertainment, aiming to set new benchmarks in sustainable urban development.

The Chief Minister noted that global companies such as Marubeni and Sembcorp are already associated with the project. He also mentioned a recently signed memorandum of understanding with Reliance Group’s Vantara to establish a new zoo within Future City.

Expressing strong interest, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri proposed the formation of a joint task force comprising officials from both governments to ensure the speedy implementation of the project. He also suggested a strategic partnership between the UAE food cluster and Telangana to strengthen the rural and agriculture-based economy.

IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, and senior officials were part of the Telangana Rising delegation at the meeting.
