Tragic Waterfall Accident Kills Three Teen Girls in Andhra Pradesh

A tragic incident occurred on Thursday in Ananthagiri mandal of Alluri Sitharamaraju district, Andhra Pradesh, where three teenage girls lost their lives after drowning in a waterfall. The accident reportedly happened while the group was attempting to film a social media reel near Mulagummi village.

According to police officials, the deceased have been identified as Trisha (17), Pavitra (16), and Ratnakumari (16), all residents of Jambuvalasa village in Hukumpeta mandal. Another girl, identified as S. Anjali, is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital after sustaining injuries during the incident.

Preliminary reports indicate that the four girls had visited the waterfall area for leisure. At the time of the incident, three of them were standing on rocks close to the edge of the waterfall, while Anjali was recording a video. In a sudden turn of events, the three girls reportedly lost their balance and fell into the water.

Witnessing the fall, Anjali immediately jumped into the water in an attempt to rescue her friends. However, she was unable to save them and also struggled in the strong currents, leading to injuries.

Local residents quickly responded to the situation and managed to retrieve the bodies of the three girls from the water. Anjali was rescued and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading to the accident. Authorities have also urged the public, especially youngsters, to exercise caution while visiting risky locations and avoid dangerous activities for the sake of social media content.

This incident highlights the growing risks associated with filming videos in hazardous environments. Experts and officials continue to stress the importance of safety over social media trends.
