Anil Kumar, a software professional from Bhimavaram village in Venkatapuram mandal, had been working in Abu Dhabi for over a year and a half. Acting on friends’ advice, he bought a lottery ticket featuring the number 11 — his mother Bhoolakshmi’s birth date.
To everyone’s surprise, that same ticket hit the jackpot worth ₹240 crore. The news spread rapidly through his hometown, making Anil a local celebrity.
