South Central Railway changes Vande Bharat schedules, adds new weekly service

Hyderabad: Edited by Samiya Fatima, 6 December Posted on 10:40 AM

South Central Railway (SCR) has changed the running days of four Vande Bharat trains from 5 December. The goal is better maintenance and on time performance.

Under the new plan, the Kachiguda – Yeshwantpur – Kachiguda Vande Bharat Express (20703/20704) will not run on Fridays. Earlier this train did not run on Wednesdays.

The Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam – Secunderabad Vande Bharat Express (20707/20708) will not run on Mondays. Earlier this train did not run on Thursdays.

SCR has kept the existing timings, stoppages, and weekly frequency of these trains. Only the weekly day of cancellation has changed.

These changes follow approval from the Railway Board. SCR says the new pattern supports better use of rakes, safer maintenance work, and improved punctuality for passengers.

Passengers who hold confirmed tickets on the new cancelled days get refunds as per railway rules or shift their booking to other trains, subject to availability.

New Tirupati – Sainagar Shirdi weekly express from 14 December

SCR has also announced a new weekly express between Tirupati and Sainagar Shirdi (17425/17426). Regular service will start from 14 December.

Train No. 17425 Tirupati – Sainagar Shirdi weekly express: Departure from Tirupati every Sunday at 4.00 am and arrival at Lingampally at 4.50 pm the same day and arrival at Sainagar Shirdi at 10.45 am on Monday.

The train will run with two AC coaches and general second class coaches. Exact coach composition changes based on demand and operational needs.

For PNR status, fare, timetable details, complaints, security issues, and medical emergencies, passengers call the toll free railway helpline 139.

Passengers should also check the latest updates on the official Indian Railways or SCR website and mobile apps before travel.
