Hyderabad, 21 November: India’s star boxer and Hyderabad Daughter Nikhat Zareen won the gold medal at the World Boxing Cup Finals 2025. She defeated Guo Yi Xuan of Chinese Taipei with a strong and confident performance.
The two-time world champion said the win felt emotional. She returned to the same venue where she won her 2023 World Championship gold.
“It is like a full circle moment for me, a déjà vu,” Nikhat said to PTI after the bout. She said the medal holds special importance. “This medal plays an important role in my journey as it comes after a long time.”
Nikhat’s victory strengthens India’s position in world boxing and inspires young athletes across the country.
Nikhat Zareen is the Ambassador of the Telangana Government. She has been role model for many girls in India.
