Hyderabad: 10 December Posted on 3:08 am

A young man from NM Guda, Kishan Bagh, was killed late on Tuesday night in Old City. He was attacked while riding a motorcycle and died on the spot.

The incident created panic in the locality. Several residents gathered at the scene soon after the attack.

Family members of the victim, Arvind, said the murder was linked to a personal dispute involving a woman named Lavanya Yadav. They alleged that Lavanya had been blackmailing Arvind. They said the dispute turned violent on Tuesday night.

Arvind’s sister told the media that Lavanya had a relationship with her brother and was insisting on marriage although she already has three children. She said Lavanya had threatened Arvind a few days ago and that the family had filed a complaint with police months earlier.

Kamatipura Police shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered. Police have started an investigation to identify those involved in the attack and to verify the motive.

Officers said CCTV footage from nearby areas will be examined. Police teams are recording statements from neighbours and relatives to understand the sequence of events.

Residents demanded stronger night patrolling in the locality. They said repeated late-night attacks create fear and disrupt movement.

Police advised families to report threats or blackmail complaints without delay. Timely reporting helps prevent violence and improves community safety.
