A shocking incident took place in Neredmet, Hyderabad. A 36-year-old man, Srinivas, killed his parents Rajayya, 78, and Lakshmi, 65, in Sainagar.
According to police, Srinivas was addicted to alcohol. His wife left him due to harassment. He lived with his parents and often fought with them after drinking.
The parents admitted him to a mental health center at Erragadda some time ago. After treatment, he returned home but held a grudge against them. He continued to trouble them and spent his earnings on alcohol after joining a welding shop.
On Sunday night, in a fit of rage over being sent to the hospital, he attacked his parents with a stick. Both died on the spot.
Locals alerted police. Officers reached the location, controlled the situation, and took Srinivas into custody. A murder case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
