Cyberabad Cyber Crime Police have arrested five individuals involved in a sophisticated job fraud racket that cheated unemployed youth by offering fake jobs in reputed companies like Genpact Enquero.
According to DCP Cyber Crime Cyberabad Y.V.S Sudheendra Police booked five persons under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and IT Act for orchestrating a large-scale employment scam.
The investigation began after a complaint by Gudapati Srikanth Swaroop Naidu, who was duped of ₹3,20,000 by a woman named Priyanka posing as an HR consultant. She promised him a job at Enquero Global and sent a fake offer letter using a forged company domain. After joining, the victim received no salary and was later sent a fake termination letter.
The arrested accused are Uppala Venkata Sai Ram, Jalli Karthik, Vinukonda Srikanth @ Manoj, Gurindapalli Priyanka @ Ramyasree, and H. A. Ramesh @ Madhu. Police investigations revealed that the accused created fake websites, email IDs, and job letters resembling Enquero and Genpact to lure candidates.
They conducted sham interviews and training sessions, collected money ranging from ₹2–4 lakh under the guise of job placements, and later blocked communication with victims. Funds were routed through multiple bank accounts to conceal the money trail.
Cyberabad Police seized several laptops, mobile phones, forged company seals, and banking documents. Officials stated that the racket may have defrauded hundreds of job seekers across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
Police urged the public not to trust anyone demanding money for job placements and to verify job offers directly with companies. Suspicious cases can be reported through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or by dialing 1930.
